Loreto House Creative is excited to feature A Young Catholic Woman to the community! So without further ado, here is the amazing Vicky with her blog tips and tricks!
Some background about Vickey…
She is a doctoral student (WOW okay...nbd) but also works as a curriculum researcher. She loves her Catholic faith as well as sharing it with the world! Passionate about DIY projects and new food recipes, Vicky is currently crushing this thing we call life as she clearly juggles just about everything at once!
Vicky shares: “a few people have shared how my posts have impacted them.” Y’all this is just affirmation that what you are doing is absolutely making a difference regardless if you know it or not. The best part about what Vicky is sharing is how I would imagine Vicky didn’t “ask” if what she was doing was making an impact, it just sort of happened. This is showing how consistency and doing what you are called to do is working and will pay off. God is using you and your gifts to impact other’s lives...HOW COOL!
Vicky also brings up a point regarding her audience and how she has worked to produce content that is applicable to all those that see what she does. “I have learned to try and share things that are applicable to many people and that my audience is international” Vicky has recognized and taken precious time to understand who makes up her audience and how she can better serve them. This is, without question, SO IMPORTANT. If you are not already taking the time to understand what your audience would like to see more of, then you should absolutely start today! Just ask questions! If you know what they are going through, share it, then the more they will feel connected to you.
Vicky’s one piece of advice is beautiful “It is important to take care of yourself and involve God in self-care. It is from this place that you can best reach people.”
How many times do we run ourselves into the ground without taking a step back and bringing God into the space of self-care? I know for a fact that I do NOT always remember to bring God into this space. Vicky really packs a punch with her down-to-earth piece of advice. Y’all we cannot provide the best service to the Kingdom if we are not prioritizing filling ourselves up. Take that step back, take multiple steps back and bring God back into the space where you need Him most.
